About GameHub

A project to build a collection of strategic board games

🎯 Our Mission

GameHub is a hobby project born from a passion for classic strategy games and modern web technologies. Our goal is to build a growing community that can play high-quality board games directly in the browser.

We believe that strategic games are not only entertaining but also promote critical thinking. Some of those include AI opponents and even analysis tools. Some of them will be multiplayer games.

🛠️ Technology

All games are developed in Rust and run in the browser using WebAssembly (WASM). This enables native performance directly on the web - without downloads or plugins.

🗺️ Roadmap

The project is in active development. Here are some planned features:

  • ✅ Phase 1 (Current): Single-player games with AI opponents
  • 🔄 Phase 2: Multiplayer functionality with real-time matches
  • 📊 Phase 3: Integration with Discord
  • 🎲 Phase 4: More games and modes
  • 🏆 Phase 5: Community tournaments and events

📈 Growth & Future

GameHub started as a personal hobby project to learn Rust and WebAssembly. As the community grows, the following steps may become relevant:

  • Community Focus: Building an active player community
  • Open Source: Possible release of code for community contributions

🤝 About the Developer

GameHub was developed by Christoph Lürig - a developer with a passion for game development, AI algorithms, and modern web technologies.

The project combines several interests: the elegance of classic board games, the performance and safety of Rust, and the accessibility of web applications.
